A NEW BEGINNING
Elara and Caelan were washed up on the shore of the new island. They lay on the soft sand, gasping for air, holding each other.
They were in an old part of the city, the part that had become an island. The sun was just beginning to rise, painting the sky in shades of pink and gold.
