“You were very brave that day,” he said.
“When you were shouting at me.”
She lowered her gaze.
“Why are you so quiet now?”
Aria swallowed.
“I wasn’t brave,” she whispered, her voice trembling, revealing her inner struggle and making her vulnerability more palpable.
“I was ignorant.”
He raised an eyebrow slightly.
